It all started with a the — now non-existent — site itsasecrettoeverybody.com, which consisted of only a screen shot of the namesake scene from The Legend of Zelda video game. In April of 2010 that site went dead, to become a generic parking domain. I felt this was a shame, so I bought the simplified domain to bring it back to life.

Hosting a site with a single image seemed to be a waste to me, so I added more memorable quotes from both the original The Legend of Zelda game, and Zelda II: The Adventures of Link. I plan to expand to include The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and other games in the series, while maintaining its simple interface.

This site marks my first use of Responsive Web Design using CSS media queries. The games have their quotes listed separately, in parallel blocks on wider displays. For smaller displays and devices these game blocks are instead ordered in a vertical fashion, and as the window gets smaller the feature image scales to maintain a 100% width. Media queries are further used to improve the design when viewed on an iPhone, due to its lack of element:hover support.
