Mozes, Inc.
I was lucky to know someone involved in Mozes, Inc. as it was starting up in 2006. He suggested that I apply, despite my limited experience. It started with a series of three month contracts and extensions before the contract periods extended to a year at a time. For nearly four years I worked with developers in Palo Alto, California, without ever leaving Regina.
Mozes Inc. began as an idea somewhat similar to Twitter, but morphed to something not as driven by user content, but a method for bands, brands and other organizations to contact their followers more directly, and send free content.
My responsibilities encompassed all areas of their site, from the Participant (public) to Connect (business clients), Mobile to [Flash] Widgets on external social networking sites. Each area had an overhaul during my tenure, switching backend frameworks, visual design, and frontend functionality.
